As the mom of a wonderful, special needs son and as a career woman with her own business, I’ve sought out ways to prepare healthy meals, practice self-care, and nurture healthy relationships even when it feels like the only thing there’s time for is drive-thru dinners and few hours of sleep before the next day’s work begins.

With a release date of October 6, 2018, my newest book comes from my desire to help other women through the struggles I experienced trying to create a healthy lifestyle for myself and my family.

 

As a businesswoman and a busy mom raising a special needs son, it was all too easy to put myself on the back burner. But I found that when I made myself a priority, it wasn’t just my life that shifted from unhealthy to happier and healthier—it was my family’s as well.

 

I wrote this book from my own experiences learning how to prioritize self-care, self-love, weight loss, nutritious eating habits, and healthy relationships so I can be the best possible version of myself for me and my family. I believe that every woman has the power to create the life she desires, and invite you to step into the happiness of being your own Humble, Sexy and Powerful Self!

Healthy Cooking in a Pinch

 

I published my first book, Healthy Cooking in a Pinch, in 2014 as a response to the many clients who confided in me that they felt like they just didn’t have time to cook healthy meals for themselves and their families.

 

Geared towards busy moms, this cookbook is a super practical guide full of tips and strategies for healthy meal planning and prep. As a mom myself, I know firsthand what a struggle it can be to create healthy meals for your family. I’ve done the work in figuring out the best tools, techniques, and recipes, and have written this book as a jumpstart for other busy women to begin transforming their—and their family’s—eating habits.

 

Prepping for the week’s meals in advance is something I learned from my mom, but the recipes are based on my studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. There, I learned how to create nutritious meals, and how to improve on some not-so-nutritious recipes by substituting unhealthy ingredients with healthier ones.
